A simple, healthy and non-fussy way to cook salmon. Eat Baked Salmon hot or cold.
3 ½ lb. salmon
1 lemon
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon oil/1 tablespoon butter
Start by taking a large piece of silver foil in which you would wrap the salmon. Lay the foil out flat on a baking tray. Now grease the foil with butter or oil.
Thinly slice the lemon and put about half on the foil. Tuck a few slices of lemon inside the fish and lay the rest on top of the fish.
Season well and wrap the fish loosely but making sure the edges are securely folded together so that no steam can escape. Bake in a moderate oven at 350 deg. F – Mark 4 for 10 minutes per pound.
If serving hot, take out the fish from the oven and let it stand for another 10 minutes before unwrapping it. If serving cold, leave the salmon in the foil for two to three hours. Gently pull off the skin before serving.
If you plan to eat the fish hot, use butter. Grease the foil with oil if you are going to serve the fish cold.
