Description:

This is a traditional English pub favorite and is typically served with roast beef. Don’t get foxed by the name, though. This pudding is savory, not sweet and you could try serving them as appetizers.

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
4 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
Salt to taste
Oil for the moulds

Directions:

Combine the egg and milk thoroughly using a fork.
Add the flour and using a whisk combine to form a thick yet pourable batter. Add a pinch of salt.
Pour in enough oil into each mould so that it covers just about 1/5 th of the mould. Place the moulds in the oven to pre-heat at 200 deg.F.

When both the moulds and oil are hot, pour in the batter. The batter should sizzle when you pour it in.
Place the moulds on the middle shelf and bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown and slightly crisp.

Tips:

Variation: Try adding chopped parsley or chopped cilantro to the pudding batter for a different taste.
